Parkside defeated the top ranked team in the Liga de Fútbol Lafayette Park and second place champions Inter (formerly Alianza) last night, 6 to 2! The game was close in the 1st half, with Parkside up 2 to 1. In the second half we came out strong against experienced Inter, our Midfield (Hernandez, Law) and Forwards (Romano, Trejo) led a shooting gallery, picking up 4 additional goals with a dozen great shots. Our Defense (Arias, Bush, A. Trejo) held regularly high-scoring Inter to just 1 goal. Our season opener is next week, details to follow soon!

To celebrate our win (3 to 1) Wednesday night at Lafayette Park (first game of the new season), we are launching the Fútbol section early! We’ve been working hard for the last months developing our own Fútbol Club, Parkside. After playing 2 seasons in La Liga de Fútbol Lafayette Park, we decided to organize a formal Club. The Club plays Wednesday and Friday evenings at Lafayette Park, we’ll post game times regularly here on the Blog. We are also proud to announce a generous kit sponsorship from adidas.
