John Whitney’s demo reel of work created with his analog computer/film camera magic machine he built from a WWII anti-aircraft gun sight. Also Whitney and the techniques he developed with this machine were what inspired Douglas Trumbull (special fx wizard) to use the slit scan technique on 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Did you know you can see thumbnails of your fonts in leopard?
This might be old news but not to me!

“Introducing fabric in TV design can again change the product landscape and stimulate our senses in entirely new ways. Sets that rest comfortably in the palm of your hand. Sets projecting images that reach you like the song of a little bird by your pillow. They are a form of “senseware”; small, round, and soft reinterpretations of products that feel nice and have character. We sought a shape that recalls basic, minimal forms of life. Perhaps inevitably, a shape that resembles both a little chick and a tadpole emerged. The “tail” also serves a practical purpose as the interface for headphones, which extend seamlessly from the body.”

Much needed Club equipment arrived yesterday from adidas for the Parkside boys. Predator TPR shin guards and undershirts to keep us warm for our (very cold) night games in La Liga. We all wanted to thank adidas for their generous sponsorship of the Club and all the other great equipment they’ve provided us (Kit, Footwear, Duffel Bag and Balls) already.
Parkside· 11/28/07I just bought my first Hulger Phone. I use it as a skype handset and I must say I am very very happy with it. No installing, just plug in USB and it’s ready to go. No stupid blinking lights or unnecessary buttons, just a good, solid, heavy handset.
Before this I used a skype headset, but I got tired of plugging the thing in and out all the time. Then I decided I wanted a simple USB handset that doesnt need any extra power source, so i bought an ugly regular one with all kinds of buttons I never used. The handset needed software to run which messed up my audio settings all the time.
So finally I ordered the Hulger Penelope + Base. It does the job well and looks very funny next to all my other hardware. Very British.
